algebra explorations project
final presentations and open house

For our final Algebra presentations this year, we are going to do something special. You and your partner will choose a problem or topic that interests you to research, solve, and present to the class. In addition, we will be having an evening "Open House" on Tuesday, June 4, 2002. We will invite parents, friends, other math and science students, and teachers to a celebration of all that we have learned this year. You, the students, will work in pairs to create display boards and prepare short presentations on your topic. During the Open House, you will give your presentation several times as our guests explore our displays, much like a science fair.

The display boards will cover topics symbolically, graphically, numerically, and verbally.

This will be a great and memorable event. I am very much looking forward to seeing you all there. (If you cannot attend, please see me as soon as possible.)
