Dear Parents/Guardians,
At this time, it is the San Dieguito Union High School District’s policy to include either the first name of a student on a web page or a picture, but not both. I would like to honor students’ success by recognizing who they are as well as by showing samples of their accomplishments. The Internet provides us not only a place to gather information, but a place to share information and communicate with others. I find the Internet to be a wonderful place to display samples of my students’ work in our classes. This makes a nice resource for other students, parents, and teachers as they seek to understand what is happening in my classes. It is also a place to celebrate your students’ success and achievement in mathematics. Computers and Internet technology change rapidly. However, policies and traditions in large organizations do not.
To offer the most comfortable situation for you and your family as well as maximum flexibility for the class, I have listed the types of images and words I would possibly like to include on my web site. To see examples of how I use each of these items, please browse my web site www.abbymath.com. Note that my web site is hosted on the SDUHSD web server. The true address for the site is http://teachers.sduhsd.k12.ca.us/abrown.
Thank you very much for your support. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me via e-mail or telephone or make a note on the form beside your signature. I truly believe that what we can share online will enhance the learning of your student and that of the entire class.
Sincerely,
Abigail S. Brown
