Torrey Pines High School Orchestras

The Orchestra Program:
The Torrey Pines Orchestra Program consists of two ensembles that each serve different levels and styles of playing. Both orchestras, directed by Amy Willcox, perform at school concerts and compete each year at state or national music festivals. The goal of the program is to develop musicians who are knowledgeable about music, their own instrument, and performing skills.

Enrollment into the ensembles is awarded during an audition process that takes place at the end of each school year and at the change of semester.

Our Ensembles
The Torrey Pines Intermediate Orchestra, led by Amy Willcox, is the largest orchestra at Torrey Pines High School. This ensemble studies repertoire at an intermediate to advanced level and trains musicians in ensemble and chamber performance, orchestral literature, and proficiency of their own instrument.

The Intermediate Orchestra performs and competes during school concerts and at various festivals throughout the year.see more »
