The TPHS Symphonic band, directed by Amy Willcox, is designed to provide a fundamental bridge between intermediate and advanced musical study. In this course students will develop & grow as musicians. The goal of the Torrey Pines music program is to produce knowledgeable musicians who understand & appreciate music.
The symphonic band is designed to provide students with an opportunity for in-depth study in the areas of chamber music and band literature as it applies to their instrument.

Through this study students will understand the cultural & artistic relevance of particular compositions throughout history.
