The TPHS Symphonic band is designed to provide a fundamental bridge between intermediate and advanced musical study. In this course students will develop & grow as musicians. The goal of the Torrey Pines music program is to produce knowledgeable musicians who understand & appreciate music. The symphonic band is designed to provide students with an opportunity for in-depth study in the areas of chamber music and band literature as it applies to their instrument.

Through this study students will understand the cultural & artistic relevance of particular compositions throughout history.

The symphonic band is an audition only class which consists of 9th-12th graders.
