The deadline to request letters of recommendation and turn in FERPA is Friday, 11/13/2009.

12th grade presentations were held on Tuesday 9/15 and Wednesday 9/16.   Topics covered included the college application and admissions process, using Naviance, applying to CSU/UC and private or out-of-state schools, requesting letters of rec, transcripts, etc. 

On Wednesday 10/14, CCA Counseling hosted reps. for a UC application workshop and a CSU application workshop.  Students who did not attend the workshops can access tutorials from the UC and CSU application website.  

In order to facilitate your success in 12th grade, please be sure to follow these important guidelines:

1.  If you have not done so already, view this Naviance Registration Tutorial and then sign up for your Naviance account immediately.  Use your LEGAL name, and use your student ID for your password.   If you forgot your password or user name, see Ms. Burton in the Career Center to reset your password or ID.   Everything college-related, from the college selection process to letters of recommendation, will be conducted via Naviance.  Make sure that you provide a VALID e-mail address, because the Counseling Department will use it to send important, time-sensitive messages specifically aimed at your grade level.

2.  Pay close attention to the 12th Grade Counseling College Calendar.  If you follow it, you should not miss any important events.

3.  Use the College Checklists to make sure that you are completing all the necessary steps.
