9th grade presentations will be held on Wed. 9/30 and Thurs. 10/1 during pd. 2.  We will cover graduation requirements, staying informed and getting involved at CCA, creating a four-year plan and much more.  A 9th grade parent presentation will be held at 6:30 p.m. on 9/30 in the Proscenium Theater.  We encourage you to review the presentation and to attend!

Class of 2013: UC will no longer require SAT Subject tests for admission.   More information can be found here.  Other competitive universities will still require the SAT Subject tests, which can be verified at college admissions websites or in Naviance.

In order to facilitate your success in 9th grade, please be sure to follow these important guidelines:

1.   If you have not done so already, view this Naviance Registration Tutorial and then sign up for your Naviance account.   Use your LEGAL name, and 6-digit student ID for your password.  If you forgot your password, or user name, talk to Darlene Burton in the Career Center, who can reset your password or ID.  Everything that will keep you on track in high school and prepare you a career and/or college search will be conducted via Naviance.    MAKE SURE YOU PROVIDE A VALID E-MAIL ADDRESS, because the Counseling Department will use it to send you important, time-sensitive messages specifically aimed at your grade level.

2.  Pay close attention to the 9th Grade Counseling Calendar.  If you follow it, you should not miss any important events.
