Below are some facts about Canyon Crest Academy: |
Canyon Crest is one of four comprehensive high schools in the San Dieguito Union High School District. CCA is a school of choice, which means that any student who resides within our district boundaries can apply to attend during the district's high school selection process. CCA has a capped enrollment, and if the number of applicants exceeds the projected available seats, a lottery is held. After the lottery, students are notified of the results. CCA is on a 4 x 4 system. In the 4 x 4 system, students can take 4 courses in the fall, and 4 different courses in the spring. Each course is the equivalent of a year-long course on a traditional two-semester, year-long system. Our school day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.mm. Each class period is 90 minutes. For more specific information regarding our programs, please visit the main CCA website. Click here for our School Profile. Click here for the Course Profiles.
