How to Use the College & Career Center

The College & Career Center at CCA has the following resources to help our students:

  • College & Career Center Coordinator, Darlene Burton, who is available to assist students and parents.
  • 17 "Thin Client" computers with Internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat and access to CHOICES and NAVIANCE programs.
  • Catalogs, CD-ROMS, and various materials from over 450 colleges which can be signed out.
  • SAT/ACT/PSAT/AP flyers, guides, and preparation books which can be signed out.
  • Career Guidance Software and Workshops to assist students with them.
  • College Representative Visits
  • Summer Programs
  • Scholarships

If you would rather use the resources described above, or if you would like assistance using the links, you can come to the College & Career Center before school, at lunch, after school, or during a free period (if you have one) or request an appointment.

The College & Career Center is an excellent place to sign up for standardized tests, research careers and colleges, or to fill out your applications.

Thursday, April 17th, 11:00 AM, a San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station representative will be on campus to discuss a Nuclear Operations and Maintenance Certificate program (full tuition scholarships; paid on-the-job training)
