 9TH GRADE SEMINAR 9/23 & 9/24 and 9TH GRADE PARENT SEMINAR on 9/24.

In order to facilitate your success in 9th grade, please be sure to follow these important guidelines:

1. If you have not done so already, watch this Naviance Power Point and then sign up for your Naviance account immediately.  Use your LEGAL name, and use your student ID for your password.  If you forgot your password, or user name, talk to Darlene Burton in the Career Center, who can reset your password or ID. Everything that will keep you on track in high school and prepare you for your career and/or college search will be conducted via Naviance.  MAKE SURE YOU PROVIDE A VALID E-MAIL ADDRESS, because the Counseling Department will use it to send you important, time-sensitive messages specifically aimed at your grade level.

2.  Make sure you create a CHOICES account, with the password and ID number provided in Naviance, and set up your portfolio.  Specific instructions for using CHOICES, including everything from career exploration to school or vocation selection, is also provided in Naviance.

3.  Pay close attention to the 9th Grade Counseling Calendar.  If you follow it, you should not miss any important events.
