Setting up a 4-Year Plan Using Your CHOICES Account

IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A CCA CHOICES PORTFOLIO, GO TO www.bridges.com , LOG IN, AND SKIP TO STEP 4.

1. Log on to www.bridges.com.

2. Click the "create a new portfolio" link.

3. Fill in the blanks. Use 0100023 for the Site ID, and canyon for the Password. Use your student ID number for "Student #." If you don't have one, use 0. For your Portfolio Name, use your real name, first and last with no spaces, in all small letters. For your password, use your student ID number again (if you don't have one, use something you won't forget). Enter your e-mail, and your parent or guardian's e-mail. When you are finished, click "go."

4. Click the "Choices Planner" icon, and then select "Course Plan Builder."

5. Click "Start a new high school course plan."

6. Select either "Canyon Crest Academy Graduation Requirements" or "UC/CSU system requirements."

7. After you select a link, you will see a grid. The grid outlines course requirements, with hyperlinks to specific CCA courses. Pay particular attention to the "Notes."

8. At the top of the page, select "Add to your plan."

9. On the new grid, click "edit" on any of the courses. When the new screen opens, you can indicate the status of each course you have taken or plan to take. Your credits will adjust accordingly. Keep in mind that every 10 credit courses consists of two five-credit "semesters." You earn two grades for each ten-credit course.

10. Consider this a "work in progress," save your work, and adjust it whenever necessary.
