To graduate from CCA, all students must earn a passing grade in twenty credits of physical education.

Students may take many physical education classes as their schedule will allow.

Freshmen are required to take "Year-One PE," which will satisfy ten PE credits (of 20) AND cover the SDUHSD mandated health requirement. Students who opt out of Year-One PE, who choose to take Marching Band PE or ISPE (application ONLY), will need to take health in summer school or off-campus through an accredited program. The former 5-credit health course will no longer be offered during the school year.
