To graduate from CCA, all students must earn a passing grade in ten credits of a life science and ten credits of a physical science.

To apply to most four-year colleges, students must earn at least a "C" or higher in biology and chemistry or physics.  Students may take one or two science courses per year, one each term, but prerequisites and department recommendations must be followed for any science course.
