The San Dieguito Union High School District highly recommends that each student in our district takes the time to get one or more library cards at the public libraries in our communities.  There are three major San Diego area public libraries:  San Diego Public Library/City of San Diego, San Diego County and Carlsbad City. 

All three library systems offer an enormous wealth of resources on site as well as online.  The only necessity to access these resources is a free library card.  The library card membership number allows access to all online resources at any time, at any place with Internet access.

Patrons younger than 18 years old can register for a library card but a parent or guardian needs to sign for responsibility for the card's use.  Please take the time to take your student to one or more of these libraries to apply for a free library card.
