In order to place an employment opportunity on our job boards you must be a business in our community that will pay the current minimum wage and cover the student with workman’s compensation insurance. We will not post any jobs like babysitting, odd jobs round the home or tutoring. If you want to hire a student for these types of jobs you can place an ad in our school newspaper for a small fee (contact Mia Smith at (858) 755-0125 Ext. 2171). 

The job announcement should be word processed about 5 by 8 inches in size containing this information:

Employers name
Employers address and phone number
Type of job offered
Beginning wage
Contact person
Hours needed to work
e-mail address

You can fax (760) 943-3583 or e-mail (james.anthony@sduhsd.net or jim.phillips@sduhsd.net) the job announcement and are we placed on the job board with in 24 hours, the ad will be up for about two weeks.

Note that Torrey Pines High School and the San Dieguito Union High School District are NOT responsible for student responsibility and performance. The job board is a convenience for employers and students in the community.

Note that students under the age of 18 may not be hired as sub-contractors.
