The San Dieguito District has adopted a student information system called Aeries. This system will allow you to view your child’s progress in each class, period-by-period attendance and class schedule via the Internet.The parent portal can be found at http://parent.sduhsd.net.

Directions for the first time you log in was included in the letter. If you experience any difficulties with login, please contact Caroline Harrah at (858) 350-0253 ext. 4012 or caroline.harrah@sduhsd.net.

Once you log in for the first time, CCA will automatically get your email address which will be used solely for the purpose of school related business. This system will provide us a much more comprehensive communications database which will vastly improve school to home communications.

Painting Grading Scale

• 30% of your grade will come from "Practice Work." Practice work is small projects, assignments, and sketching.
  
• 50% of your grade will come from "Presentation Work." Presentation work is all the "major" projects that you do.
  
• 20% of your grade will be determined by your "Studio Performance." Everyone gets a studio performace grade at the end of the week. Students earn an A+ in studio performance for following class rules and policies.
  
• If you turn in a project late, you will lose one grade (10%) per class day that a project is late.
  
• Art is a process that can often take many revisions to perfect. Once you have turned a project in on time, you may redo a project for a higher grade if you wish. Make an appointment with me for a "regrade conference" outside of class time. You can raise any aspect of your grade except for points lost due to turning in the project late.
