Q: I am eager to put my grades on Aeries, but don't know how to get started. What shall I do?
Jim Teague and Dan Salas created a great web tutorial for beginning Aeries users. Check it out:
http://teachers.sduhsd.k12.ca.us/jteague/aeries/intro.htm
Q: How do I make tests with different points worth the same value? Check out this Teague Tutorial:
http://teachers.sduhsd.net/jteague/aeries/hottips.htm
Q: How can I access my students' performance on standardized tests by standard?
Open Aeries, click on STUDENT INFO, select the TESTING tab: on the top of each student test BOX there are links. Sort TESTS by Content Standard Scores. When you click on the Content Standard Scores link you are taken to a page that lists the scores by standard. There is also a pull down so that you can see each test administration. When we have the historical data (next year) teachers will have the ability so see the scores of last year's classes.
Q: How can we input parents' email addresses so
that we can send an email to them about the grades? It allows this function but
tells me no one has an email address available.
This email population will be done when we open up the parent portal as it
requires parents when they get their log in letter with ID and temporary
password to provide us with an email address.
Q: What functions will the Parent Portal have?
Check out this handout. It gives lots of info about not only the Parent Portal, but also the student, administrator, teacher and counselor information. To tour what the browser for parents will look like, click here:

Q: How do I contact Aeries customer support?
The AERIES hotline is 888-324-5363 for stuff beyond our current scope.
