The Intro couse teachers students what the sub-head (publishing jargon) states above. We will learn techniques for gathering news. We will learn to organize all of our source information. We will learn to craft a piece of writing that fits the purpose of the story. We will learn to capture an image relevant to the story. We will learn to create impactful layout, and we will learn how to get all that to our target audience. In Advanced Journalism, we take what was learned in Intro and apply it... with deadline and budget constraints. Pulse is a true-to-word student run publication. All decisions, actions, and products come from CCA students. From concept to hard copy, Pulse is by, for, and about CCA.
