American Pageant Textbook Site

  • An incredible site to be used with your textbook.  The site includes interactive glossaries, note cards, and (most importantly), SAMPLE QUIZZES to use when studying for your Reading Quizzes.

American Pageant  LecturePoint: Online Lectures

  • The LecutrePoint lectures have narrated lectures that are correlated to the book's content.  May be a helpful way to review chapter content prior to a quiz, or to review for a Unit Exam.

U.S. Quiz Mainpage

  • USE THIS SITE TO STUDY FOR UNIT TESTS! Site from Ms. Pojer, an APUSH teacher in New York.  Provides excellent quizzes on each period of U.S. History that are quite helpful in preparing for unit exams.

BubbaBrain

  • This site, under the "Junior" Section, and then under the "AP U.S." section, has matching quizzes and such to review vocabulary and concepts.

Federalists vs. Anti-Federalist Debate/Articles of Confederation vs. the Constitution

  • Site lists the main tenets of each side's position during the debate on the Constitution's ratification.

U.S. Constitution: In Plain Words

  • This site has the Constitution broken down by article.  Accompanying all of the Constitution is a "what it means" section which explains some of the complex wording of the document in everyday terms.

Department of Defense Constitution Day Website

  • Designed by the U.S. government for employees of the Department of Defense.  This interactive tutorial goes through the history of the Constitution and has overviews of each branch of the government, as outlined by the Constitution itself.  A little corny, but very interesting, nonetheless.

American Political Party History

  • A great site from Mr. Wood at Murray High School, in Murray, Utah.  Summarizes key points and ideas in political party history--including important elections, candidates, and issues.

Official U.S. History Cram Packet

  • Site designed to get you quick information about the topics of APUSH.  (Use in conjunction with your textbook, or you may be sorry.)

History Note Cards

  • Study Aids designed by past APUSH student for many of the terms and concepts that are possible AP U.S. History exam topics.  Good to use for unit exams and for the big exam in May.

Supreme Court Cases

  • Supreme Court cases are very much open game on both unit exams and for the big exam in may.  Provides a nice synopsis of key cases.

Kennedy Chapter Outlines

  • Provides blank outlines of each chapter in The American Pageant that may help you gather information as you read.  NOTE: These outlines are for an older edition of the textbook; some chapters have been eliminated from the edition we use and, thus, will not be found on this website.

Unit Notes

  • Provides extensive unit notes for various historical periods. (Note: Change the unit number toward the end of the URL to gain access to notes for the next unit.)

A "Complete" Outline of U.S. History Timeline

  • Nicely arranged chronology of U.S. History.  Helpful for maintaining the order of events.

Pre-AP Exam Review Packet

  • BEAUTIFUL review packet helpful for the end of the year. (Note: this requires that you have downloaded Adobe Acrobat Viewer for viewing.)

Practice Exam

  • This site has a full-length practice AP Exam.  This is appropriate for studying for the exam in May.

GREAT AP U.S. History "Timeline" Sites:

The following sites require Adobe Acrobat Viewer.  They provide awesome review information in an easy-to-view, bulleted outline type format that includes the divisions of each category of U.S. history emphasized in AP.  They are divided into years of study and will span the various units we cover in our class.

1000-1650        1651-1700        1701-1750

1751-1800        1801-1850       1851-1900

1901-1950        1951-1994
