La Costa Canyon High School has many policies,
activities, programs, and events to enhance a student’s educational
experience. However,
participation in these events is considered a privilege and is not
guaranteed as part of the comprehensive high school program.
Thus, students may have privileges revoked as a
consequence for habitual tardiness, which is considered a behavioral
infraction.
Privileges include, but are not limited to:

1st Tardy in Classroom |
Teacher conference with student; possible class
based consequence. |

2nd Tardy in Classroom |
Teacher conference with student; possible class
based consequence. |
|
|
3rd Tardy in Classroom |
Teacher conference with student; possible class
based consequence; teacher contact with home.
(Documentation; teacher may send e-mail or notify parent by
telephone) |
Intervention Level Two:
At this level, the administration works with the
student and their family to remedy the behavioral infractions.

verified attendance (five hours required) at after school tutoring in
the LCCHS Media Center. |

Subsequent
tardies will result with referral to School Attendance Review Board
(SARB). |
