Support What's happening Toward Graduation Preparing for a Career Preparing for College (technical, 2-yr, 4-yr)

CLASS OF 2012

Here are some ideas to help you be successful this year:

  •  Get involved in lots of activities. This is the time to experience a variety of school clubs so that you can decide later which few you would really like to put your talent and efforts.
  •  Take time to discover your strengths, skills and talents and develop them.

  •  If you will be taking or have taken a class off campus for high school credit click here for more information.

  •  Make an appointment with your counselor if you begin to experience any problem with your classes.

  •  See your counselor if you would like to join one of our support groups.

  •  See College and Career Center to find info about volunteer opportunities as well as after high school planning.

  •  Remember there is not just one or a few "good colleges". What makes a college "good" is if it is a "good fit" for you. Think about what characteristics you want in a college. See Preparing For College.

  •  Click on www.csumentor.edu and then click on Plan For College for lots of information. You can add your classes to the planner which  will make completing your application your senior year much easier. (Use the "semester' system rather than "block." Put all 1st and 3rd quarter classes in the "Fall" and all 2nd and 4th quarter classes in the "Spring" no matter which term you took the classes here.
