Professional History
After graduating from The
University of Akron with a Bachelors degree in Education I began
teaching in September, 1982 at McKinley High School in Sebring, Ohio where I taught Special
Education, coached varsity football and 7th grade basketball. In 1986
I moved to San Diego, California and was hired by San Diego Unified
Schools, I taught at Darnall Middle School for Seriously Emotionally
Disturbed students. In September 1990 I
transferred to Mira Mesa High School where I opened a class for
Seriously Emotionally Disturbed High School Students. In that
same year I finished my Masters of Arts degree in education from San
Diego State. While at Mira Mesa I coached JV Football and JV &
Varsity Girls Basketball. I left Mira Mesa for San
Dieguito Union and Torrey Pines High School in February 1995. I have
remained at Torrey as a Resource Specialist, a title that has since been
shortened to Specialist, I was a Varsity football coach from 1995 -99 and
a defensive JV football coach since 2001.
